The Academy Setup Wizard is a streamlined onboarding tool designed to help school administrators configure their academic structure quickly and accurately. This step-by-step guide ensures that all core components—from session years to subject mapping—are properly initialized before you begin daily operations.

🚀 Step-by-Step Configuration​

The wizard is divided into several logical sections to ensure no detail is missed:

1. Welcome & Overview​

The starting point where you get an overview of the key features you're about to configure, including Stream Mapping, Elective Groups, and Unified Academic Views.

2. Academy Year (Session)​

Define your operational session:

  • Session Name: (e.g., 2025-2026)
  • Duration: Set the Start and End dates for the academic year.
  • Board: Select the educational board (optional).
  • Semester System: Enable this if your school follows a semester-based curriculum, and define individual semesters.

3. Mediums & Sections​

Select the instructional languages (Mediums) and the operational sections (e.g., Primary, Secondary) available in your school.

4. School Shifts​

Configure the timing shifts your school operates in (e.g., Morning Shift, Afternoon Shift). You can add multiple shifts as required.

5. Academic Streams​

Select the educational streams offered by your institution, such as Science, Commerce, Arts, or Vocational streams.

6. School Grades (Classes)​

Choose the classes or grades that will be active in your academy for the current session.

7. Master Subjects​

Create a master list of all subjects taught across all grades in your school. This list will be used for mapping in the next step.

8. Subject & Stream Mapping​

This is the most critical step where you link everything together:

  • Map Classes to Mediums: Assign which languages are used for which grades.
  • Assign Shifts: Define which classes operate in which shifts.
  • Stream Assignment: For higher grades, assign specific streams.
  • Semester/Term Mapping: If enabled, assign subjects to specific semesters.
  • Elective Groups: Create groups for elective subjects, allowing students to choose from a set of available options.

9. Ready to Initialize​

Review your entire configuration in the summary panel. Once verified, click Complete Setup to initialize your academy database. The system will process your data and redirect you to the main dashboard.

Pro Tip

You can always skip the wizard and configure these settings manually from the respective modules, but using the Wizard is recommended for a consistent and conflict-free setup.
